Silveray Korean Pine (Pinus koraiensis) - 3 Gallon Pot
A lush and lovely selection discovered in Germany in the 1970's, the Silveray Korean Pine pleases with unusual color, texture and form. It is a large but somewhat slow-grower with a narrow pyramidal form that might reach 8 to 10 feet tall and 3 to 4 feet wide at 10 years of age and 30 feet or so tall and around 10 feet wide at maturity, perfect for a specimen. Perhaps its most outstanding feature is the long and twisted needles in shades of blue, silver, white and green that appear on the tree at the same time, which makes it sparkle! Shows nicely in moonlight gardens. It also features very cool looking, fist-size, heavily-scaled cones that resemble pineapples, which start out green and eventually turn to brown. It can start producing cones when five feet tall. A superb specimen or plant several for a dense privacy screen. Get all the details below!
