An elegant fern with a prehistoric look, the Tassel Fern is an evergreen species featuring shiny dark green fronds up to 2 feet long with finely divided but overlapping pinnae. As the newly emerging fronds unfurl the crosiers flip over backwards to form tassels, which gives this fern its common name. It grows in a spreading, vase-shape clump maturing to 2 feet tall and equally as wide. We've seen no problems with pests or disease and the deer and rabbits turn their nose up to it. A fine selection for woodland gardens, shade gardens and home foundation plantings. Get all the details below!
