Creeping Colorado Blue Spruce (Picea pungens 'Glauca Procumbens') - 2 Gallon Pot
A wonderful and unique prostrate form of Colorado Blue Spruce, Picea pungens 'Glauca Procumbens' is a ground hugging selection with undulating spreading branches that sweep gracefully up at the ends. Clothed in beautiful powder blue needles, at 18 to 24 inches tall and 6 to 8 feet wide when full grown, it is excellent for use in design to cascade over walls and borders or as a groundcover on slopes or in landscape borders. Though it typically stays prostrate, the artful gardener with patience can train it to a stake to form an upright cascading mound surrounded by a skirt of foliage. Thriving in the harshest and coldest of climates where winter-low temperatures can drop to -50F, the more wind, cold and sun it gets the better it does! Drought tolerant when established and very easy to grow, just give this beauty well-drained soil and plenty of sun and it'll do the rest. Get all the details below
