Why doesn't Wilson Bros Gardens ship its plants to California, Hawaii and Alaska?
If you are from California, Hawaii or Alaska please know that we at Wilson Bros Gardens would love nothing more than to be able to ship our plants to you...and are very sad and frustrated that we cannot! As with so many other plant growers in the South, due to our growing locations in Georgia and elsewhere in the South, the Departments of Agriculture in these states will not allow our plants to enter their states...read more

We want to put your mind at ease about ordering online, especially live plants! When you place an order with Wilson Bros Gardens, we guarantee that you will receive healthy, container-grown, landscape-ready plants of retail nursery quality and size that are ready upon arrival to plant and thrive in your landscape for years to come. If you receive a plant that is for any reason unhealthy or damaged during transit please contact us within 48 hours to let us know so we can get it replaced as quickly as possible for you or to provide a full refund or store credit...whatever you want.
How do you safely ship plants?
At Wilson Bros Gardens, not only have we built our reputation on shipping the highest quality plants and other products, we gently pack every plant using the highest level of packaging products and methods to ensure your plants arrive safely and in good condition - guaranteed. In the rare event that a plant is damaged during transit, rest assured, we simply make a claim with the carrier and have a replacement shipped out right away!
Are your plants shipped in their pots or bare root?
While many other online plant nurseries have gone to shipping bare root and smaller plants in smaller pots, which are much more difficult to care for and come with a much lower survival rate, Wilson Bros Gardens ships larger, high-quality nursery and garden center grade plants in their nursery pots that are ready upon arrival to plant and thrive for years to come in your landscape - guaranteed.
Can I plant the plants I purchase from Wilson Bros Gardens during the winter?
This depends on two factors: your location, and the type of plant you intend on purchasing and planting. Based on that we offer thousands of varieties of plants, it's impossible to provide this type of planting information in a way that will apply to every specific type of plant, and to gardeners from different locations all over the United States. That said, on each and every plant page on WilsonBrosGardens.com we provide the specific yet simple information you need to determine whether or not a specific plant is safe to plant during winter in your specific area. Can Wilson Bros Gardens ship it's plants outside of the United States?
Because we grow and ship all of our plants fully rooted in the soil in their containers, and not "bare root," we cannot ship our plants outside the United States. Even if we could ship outside the United States, the Required Phytosanitary Certificate costs for the soils would be around $200.00 per order depending on how many different species are ordered. Additionally, there may be import restrictions on specific types of plants or soils in your Country which we would have no knowledge of. Too, depending on distance between our base and the ship-to destination, Air Freight may be required to shorten transit time for safe delivery of live plants. Considering that our shipping boxes are quite large, this method of delivery would be extremely expensive.
