Koi is a rare bamboo with very unique and colorful canes. The canes emerge green turning to yellow with a green stripe in the sulcus groove as they age. Patterned striping on the sides alternate up and down the cane. The culm nodes are compacted giving this species a great look on larger canes and making it excellent for use in crafts. Providing additional interest are the occasional variegated leaves. Koi Golden Bamboo is a moderate to fast grower that you can expect to reach 15 feet tall or more in USDA Zone 6 and 25 to 30 feet tall in zones further south. Get all the details below!
