Yellow Wax Bells (Kirengeshoma) - 1 Gallon Pot
A unique and interesting plant for the shade garden or woodland border, Kirengeshoma palmata, commonly known as Yellow Wax Bells, is a shrubby, herbaceous perennial that grows to about 4 feet tall and 3 feet wide. It features purplish stems with large, deeply lobed, maple-like leaves up to 8 inches across that provide a lush effect in the garden. In late summer to early fall, waxy, bell-shaped yellow flowers appear above the foliage in three-flowered clusters that are a great late-season food source for hummingbirds and beneficial pollinators. As mentioned, Yellow Wax Bells prefers life on the shady side. Morning and/or evening sun, or all-day filtered sun, are okay, but avoid direct afternoon sunlight. Sure to be a conversation piece in the garden. Get all the details below
