Masashi's Gold Holly - 1 Gallon Pot
Discovered by nurseryman Masashi Shibamachi in Japan, Masashi's Gold Holly is much like its Burfordi cousin, but with outstanding, lustrous, fluorescent golden-yellow foliage that makes it a beacon in the landscape, standing out from hundreds of feet away. Much like its cousin, the Dwarf Burford Holly, in growth habit, it forms a dense, rounded shrub 4 to 8 feet tall and wide, depending on pruning. It responds very well to pruning, allowing it to be clipped into a formal hedge if desired. If left to grow naturally, as it grows taller, lower branches can be removed to form an attractive, small tree that is stunning and suitable for use as a focal point specimen in sunny to partially shaded landscape borders and home foundation plantings. In late spring, it produces clusters of small, white flowers at the stem tips, which pollinators will appreciate, that are followed by clusters of bright red berries. Get all the details below
