One of the hardiest and most reliable of the Hebes, not to mention the coolest looking, 'Sutherland' Hebe is a wonderful little evergreen flowering shrub to maybe 2 feet tall and 3 feet wide forming a very dense, eye-catching, glowing, soft grey cushion in the landscape. In summer, abundant spiked clusters of pretty white flowers appear just above the foliage that the butterflies and other beneficial pollinators will thank you for. This tiny leafed little plant has the great attribute of looking like it has been clipped when it hasn't, so no pruning is necessary unless you need to remove a damaged stem or one that is straying from the structure of the plant. The hardy Sutherland Hebe thrives in coastal and inland regions and will tolerate temperatures down to 0F as far north as USDA Zone 7a, and takes the heat to Zone 10. Excellent as an accent in small garden spaces or containers or as a border or edging in landscape borders. Get all the details below!
