King Henry Venus Flytrap Plant - 1 Gallon Pot
red by Don Elkins, Dionaea muscipula 'King Henry' is a more vigorous and larger-growing Venus Flytrap. Though it is native to the coastal regions of North and South Carolina, he named it after King Henry because of its larger size and voracious appetite. It quickly spreads to form a low mound to 5 inches tall and 8 inches wide, displaying attractive, bright yellow-green petioles (leaves) with reddish-orange blushed mouths. Whenever a fly or other prey touches one of two trigger hairs on the leaf, the leaf rapidly closes to trap it. The plant does produce flowers atop 6-inch-high stalks that rise above the foliage in late spring through early summer. If you're just getting started in growing Venus Flytraps and other carnivorous plants, King Henry is one of the most reliable and easiest to grow. Get all the details below
