Appalachian Joy Dogwood - 7 Gallon Pot (3-4')
A new distinct cultivar introduced by the University of Tennessee, the Appalachian Joy Dogwood is prized for her supernumerary, long-lasting multi-bracted flowers, which simply means she produces a LOT more flowers than the average dogwood, and that the flowers are semi-double, meaning up to 8 petals rather than the standard 4 on most other varieties. Truly a site to behold in spring flower - you have to see it to believe it! You might also be interested to know that Appalachian Joy is documented as the white flowering dogwood with the strongest resistance to powdery mildew. She has a broadly columnar form to 15 feet tall in 10 years and maybe 20 feet in 20 years clothed in rich, bright green leaves that turn a variety of attractive red shades in the fall. Relatively fast growing for a dogwood and a perfect fit as an extremely showy specimen in smaller gardens spaces or in groupings where space will allow. Get all the details below!
