Discovered and introduced in 1948 in Thomasville, Georgia, 'Colonial Dame' is a winter to early spring flowering Camellia japonica featuring large and abundant semi-double to peony form gorgeous flowers with soft-white petals surrounding yellow stamens that stand out remarkably well against some of the deepest green foliage we've seen on any camellia.
