Special Attributes

Tiny Tim is a cute little slow-growing American arborvitae cultivar with a distinctive globular, finely-branched habit. It features attractive scale-like, medium green foliage in flat sprays. All grown up, Tiny Tim will be about 2 feet tall with a spread of 2 feet.

Landscape & Garden Uses

With it's dwarf size, Tiny Tim Arborvitae is great for use as a specimen, border/edger, low hedge, or grouped in smaller garden spaces. It is perfect for use in container gardens. A fine addition to conifer gardens, rock gardens and formal gardens.

Spacing:  18" for solid hedges; 3' or more for space between plants

Cultural Preferences

Arborvitae are very easy to grow and care for. They are adaptable to many soil types including red clay and like full sun to part shade. They prefer a moist but well-drained soil. They don't like an overly dry site. As with so many other ornamental plants, constantly soggy or wet soil can be problematic. Maintenance is minimal with very little if any pruning ever required.
