Scuppernong Bronze Muscadine Grape Vine - 1 Gallon Pot
Scuppernong is the oldest muscadine cultivar known and was found growing in the wild along the Scuppernong River in North Carolina, hence the name. It was different from other native muscadines in that its fruits were greenish bronze rather than dark in color, and the fruits were larger. The grapes are excellent for making wine, jams and pickling. See the pickling recipe below. Several hundred years after its discovery the original vine is planted on Roanoke Island and still producing fruit. Back when we were first getting started in business Scuppernong was so popular that many folks called all bronze cultivars Scuppernongs. Get all the details below

NOTE: Unlike bare root plants shipped with no soil around the roots, which makes them more difficult to plant and establish, Wilson Bros Gardens offers only container-grown, fully rooted Muscadine vines that are shipped in their pots and ready upon arrival to plant and thrive in your gardens for years to come!
