Reeves Bridal Wreath Spirea
Spirea cantoniensis 'Reeves'

Special Attributes

Reeves Spirea is a beautiful old-fashioned favorite. It is a hardy deciduous flowering shrub producing an abundance of pretty white flower clusters that nearly cover the graceful, arching branches in spring.

Landscape & Garden Uses

Growing in a mound of gracefully arching branches 5-6 feet tall and 4-6 feet wide, Reeves Spirea is ideal for use as a specimen, in groupings, or as a natural hedge in landscape and flowering shrub borders. Also makes a nice accent in home foundation plantings to softens corners or fill spaces between widely-spaced windows.

Spacing:  4 feet for solid hedges;  8 feet or more for space between plants

Cultural Preferences

Reeves Spirea are very easy to grow in a wide range of soils. They prefer a moist but well-drained soil of average fertility. For the best foliage color we suggest full to mostly sun, however plants will tolerate some light shade. Prune for shaping or to reduce the size of the plant after flowering in spring.
