Special Attributes

This little beauty packs a big punch! As spring arrives the branches of Hirome Dwarf Flowering Cherry Tree become literally smothered with clusters of gorgeous pink cherry blossoms. The flowers form in clusters all along the bare branches. Its serrated dark green leaves turn to shades of yellow, gold, orange, and red in fall. Pea sized red, berry-like fruit appear in late spring to summer providing food for birds and other wildlife. Landscape & Garden Uses

Growing to about 8 feet tall and 5 feet wide, the Hirome Flowering Cherry Tree is ideal for use as a specimen or in groupings in sunny to mostly sunny areas of landscape or woodland borders. Also nice to frame the corners of homes and to provide beauty around patios, porches and other outdoor living spaces. A fine addition to pink theme gardens, cottage gardens, and wildlife gardens.

Suggested Spacing:   6-8' or more for space between trees

Cultural Preferences

The Hirome Flowering Cherry Tree is very easy to grow in most any average, moist but well-drained soil and full sun or mostly sun. It is very drought tolerant when established. Standing water or constantly soggy or wet soils can be problematic.
