‘Girard's Renee Michelle’ is a spectacular hybrid evergreen Azalea that produces LOADS of  2.5" bright pink flowers with red speckling and 10 long red stamens coming out from the center of each beautiful blossom. Most azaleas only have 5 stamens.  The beautiful foliage remains green until mid to late fall when it changes to dark burgundy creating wonderful winter interest.

Landscape & Garden Uses

Growing to 3' tall and 4-5' wide at maturity, ‘Girard's Renee Michelle’ Azalea is ideal for use as a specimen in many garden spaces and containers 12 inches in diameter or more. Plant it in small groupings to mass plantings or as a border along paths and walkways in larger landscape and woodland borders and home foundation plantings. A fine addition to Asian-theme gardens, Azalea gardens, cottage gardens, and partially shaded woodland gardens.

Spacing:  2.5-3' for solid hedges;  6' or more for space between plants

Cultural Preferences

Evergreen Azaleas are easy to grow when planted right and in the right spot. They prefer a moist but well-drained and acidic soil that is rich in organic matter and part sun. Morning sun with afternoon shade or filtered sun is ideal. Moderate drought tolerance when established.
