Fertilome Tomato & Vegetable Food

Tomatoes have become the most popular vegetable grown in home gardens. Fertilome Tomato and Vegetable Food is especially formulated for better growth, better flavor, and bigger harvest by supplying plant food plus essential micronutrients tomatoes and other vegetables need to vigorously grow and produce abundant fruit.



Helpful Tips

  • Successful gardening, as always, starts with well prepared soil. Till the soil to a depth of 6 to 14 inches prior to planting or fertilizing. 

  • It is helpful to check the soil pH prior to planting and make the necessary adjustments for each vegetable grown.

  • Use the growing tips below for proper fertilization practices:

Tomatoes and Peppers
To prepare the soil, scatter a 1 foot wide band of Fertilome Tomato and Vegetable Food at the rate of 1 pound to every 50 feet of row. Mix the fertilizer in thoroughly and set the plants. Once a month scatter about ¼ cup of Fertilome Tomato and Vegetable Food around each plant in a circle extending at least 2 feet from the stem in all directions.

Root Crops (Potatoes, Onions, etc.)
Prepare the soil and scatter Fertilome Tomato and Vegetable Food along the bottom of the furrow at the rate of 1 pound to every 25 ft. of row. Mix with soil.

Beans, Peas, Corn, Okra, etc.
Scatter a 6 to 12 inch band of Fertilome Tomato and Vegetable Food at the rate of ¾ lb. per 50 feet of row when the plants are 2 to 6 inches tall. Make a second application at the rate of ¾ to 1 pound per 50 feet of row when the plants are 10 to 12 inch
  • Store in a cool dry place away from open flame.
