Coreopsis Uptick Yellow & Red
Coreopsis Hybrida 'Uptick Yellow and Red'

USDA Plant Hardiness Zones: 5a-9b  Find Your Zone

Note:  For our customers who live and garden north of USDA Zone 5a, where this Coreopsis variety is not reliably winter hardy outdoors, you'll be happy to know it can be grown in containers which can be overwintered indoors and placed back outside when the temperatures warm in spring.

Special Attributes

Coreopsis Uptick Yellow & Red display gorgeous, large, bright yellow flowers with red centers from early spring until the first frost in fall. And best of all, it's mildew free so there's now worry about having to apply fungicides as is common with many selections of Coreopsis. A truly stunning perennial in our gardens.

Landscape & Garden Uses

Coreopsis grows well in garden beds and containers. Growing 12-16 inches tall and wide, Coreopsis Uptick yellow & Red is ideal for use as an accent or grouping in smaller garden spaces and as a solo or mixed with other plants in container gardens. It is truly breathtaking in groupings or mass plantings in sunny landscape or woodland borders and perennial gardens. A fine addition to butterfly, cut flower, cottage, perennial and wildlife gardens.

Suggested Spacing:  12" for mass plantings

Cultural Preferences

Coreopsis is very easy to grow in most any moist but well-drained soil of average fertility and full to mostly sun. That said, plant will tolerate a little shade or filtered sun. For best flowering and density of foliage we suggest at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day. Constantly soggy or wet soils can be problematic. Heavy, dense clay soils should be amended with bagged top soil or other organic matter to improve drainage.
