Breeze Lomandra
Lomandra longifolia 'LM300 Breeze' PP15,420

Lomandra looks like a grass, but are actually tough, evergreen perennial plants that thrive in challenging environments. Perhaps the finest selection in the world, 'Breeze' is a compact with fine pine-green blades that form a compact, graceful, weeping mound to about 3 feet tall and wide at maturity. It is exceptionally drought tolerant and more cold hardy even in areas where temperatures drop to the teens. What's more?...Breeze Lomandra will grow in full sun or heavy shade!

Breeze Lomandra is exceptionally drought tolerant so works great in combination plantings with succulents, sedums and other low water need plants. Outstanding when planted in mass or in groupings, however also serves nicely as a specimen in smaller gardens spaces or containers. Great for erosion control on slopes and near the coast.

Lomandra tolerates a wide range of conditions so is exceptionally easy to grow. It performs well in either full sun or moderate shade. It is exceptionally drought tolerant when established however can tolerate regular irrigation. That said, it doesn't like heavy soils that stay constantly soggy or wet. So, when planting in heavy clay soil, it's a good idea to amend heavy soil to provide adequate drainage. It seems to have no pest problems and deer and rabbits turn their nose up to it.
