Sunshine Ligustrum
Ligustrum sinense 'Sunshine' PP20379

A new introduction from the Southern Living Plant Collection, Sunshine Ligustrum is a dwarf privet that sports screaming yellow foliage you can spot from an airplane at 10,000 feet! Without pruning the plant grows to about 3-4 feet tall and wide, however, can be maintained with occasional trimming to as low as 1 foot in height as a low, formal hedge. If you're looking to add some eye-popping color to your landscape look no further - Sunshine Ligustrum is your choice!

Sunshine Ligustrum is a sterile hybrid that will not re-seed into other areas of the garden as some other privet are known to do.

Sunshine Ligustrum is easy to grow in most any average garden soil that is moist, but well-drained and full sun to part shade. The brightest foliage color in full sun. Shade produces chartreuse to lime green foliage color. Pruning is not necessary unless a tight formal shape or hedge is desired. USDA Zones: 5a-9b  Find Your Zone >

Very nice
Very nice plants that arrived quickly. I bought these to make a low curved hedge similiar to the one in the picture on the website. Very yellow in color and I hope I can keep them trimmed as a hedge at under 18 inches like advertised. They have turned a burnt orange color since winter set it. I called to make sure the plants weren't dying and was told that this is the normal winter color for this ligustrum. It's not a great color but not bad. The yellow color the rest of the year will make up for it. This is the brightest yellow plant in my yard! Overall I am pleased with the plants and the very friendly and professional service.
