Purple Diamond® Loropetalum
Loropetalum chinensis  'Shang-Hi' PP 18331 - Purple Diamond®

Purple Diamond® Loropetalum boasts the most intense purple foliage color of any plant on the market! Vibrant pink, witchhazel-like, fringe flowers are heavy in spring, appear occasionally in summer, and again in fall. The deep purple foliage provides a stunning contrast for the bright pink flowers. Mature height is about 4 to 6 feet with an equal spread, depending on pruning. It can be pruned or sheared year-round for a more formal shape or to limit size.

Purple Diamond® Loropetalum is very easy to grow. It's not too picky about soil type, however prefers a well-drained soil of average fertility. As with so many other ornamental plants, constantly soggy or wet soil can cause root rot or other harmful plant diseases. So make sure to plant Purple Diamond® in a well-drained site. Regarding light needs, we've found that Purple Diamond® grows well in full sun or part shade. Plants are exceptionally drought tolerant when established, requiring little if any supplemental irrigation. Purple Pixie® requires no pruning, however responds very well to pruning for a more formal shape or hedge. USDA Zones: 7a-10b  Find Your Zone >

Nice Packaging
My original loropetalums were damaged by severe cold temperatures. They were in half barrels and the soil probably was colder than in the ground. These Purple Diamonds are one of my favorite plants so I will take steps to make sure it doesnt happen again. The plants arrived in perfect condition - nice packing.
