Special Attributes

Fragrant Bouquet is truly one of our favorite Hosta lilies and we think you'll love it too. It's one of the most exciting hostas to come along, in a long time. The 16-20” tall by 36 to 48" wide mounds of wavy, heart-shaped, apple-green and cream variegated leaves and the large, fragrant, funnel-shaped, white flowers on 36' tall are sure to add abundant sensory appeal to your garden. The hummingbirds will love the flowers as well. It's heavenly aroma and pleasing looks make Fragrant Bouquet Hosta ideal for use around shaded patios, decks, porches and other outdoor living spaces.

Landscape & Garden Uses

Growing in a dense mound 18 to 20 inches tall and up to 4 feet wide with outstanding color and texture, Fragrant Bouquet Hosta is ideal for use as an accent, in groupings, massed as a groundcover (deciduous) or as a border along walkways and paths to light up fully to partially shaded gardens and landscape borders. Fragrant Bouquet has been so reliable and such a strong performer for us that we have no problem at all recommended it for front home foundation plantings. It is perfect under large shade trees, decks, covered porches and any other shady location. Don't think you have any shade? Look on the east side of your home.

Fragrant Bouquet Hosta can also be grown solitary or mixed with other shade loving perennials in container gardens and is a great choice for mixed hosta, hummingbird, and white color gardens.

Spacing:  30" for mass plantings, 60" for space between plants

Cultural Preferences

Fragrant Bouquet Hosta adapts well to many soil types but prefers a moist, well drained soil of average fertility. It prefers the shade, and will practically grow in the dark, so is perfect for planting under tall decks and large shade trees where not much sun shines. That said, it will tolerate morning sun well or all-day filtered sun or dappled shade. Hot afternoon sun can scald the leaves, especially in warmer climates.
