Special Attributes

Fragrant Bouquet is truly one of our favorite Hosta lilies, and we think you'll love it too. Unusually large and fragrant funnel-shaped white flowers on sturdy stems rise above 16 to 20 inch tall by 36 to 48 inch wide mounds of wavy, heart-shaped, apple-green leaves edged in creamy white. Not only will this fragrant hosta lily add sensory appeal to your garden, the hummingbirds will love feeding on the flowers.

Landscape & Garden Uses

Growing in a dense mound 18 to 20 inches tall and up to 4 feet wide, Fragrant Bouquet Hosta is ideal for use as an accent, in groupings, massed as a groundcover (deciduous) or border along walkways, and in any other shady garden beds or landscape borders. It is perfect under large shade trees, decks, covered porches and any other shady location. Don't think you have any shade? Look on the east side of your home. Also nice in container gardens that can be situated on patios, decks porches or around other outdoor living areas and is a fine addition to mixed hosta gardens, woodland gardens, and fragrance gardens.

Suggested Spacing:  30 to 36 inches apart for mass plantings;  5 feet apart for space between plants

Cultural Preferences

Fragrant Bouquet Hosta is easy to grow in most any moist but well drained soil of average fertility and shade or part shade. It prefers the shade, and will practically grow in the dark, so is perfect for planting under tall decks and large shade trees where not much sun shines. That said, morning or evening sun or all-day filtered sun is okay. Hot afternoon sun can scald the leaves, especially in warmer climates.
